    Recent research projects

1. Electronic Equipments and systems for measurement and monitoring of environmental parameters, (1995 – 2000), scientific and technological project. Supported by Slovak Grant Agency.

2. Integrated sensors, signal routs and imaging methods based on nuclear magnetic resonance, (1999-2001). Supported by Slovak Grant Agency.

3. Eureka Project E!2012 Low-Field NMR. Co-operation with Austria, Germany and Hungary,  (from September 2001 to Sept. 2007).

4. Low Field Imaging Methods Based on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, (2002 - 2004). Supported by Scientific Grant Agency of the Ministry of Education of Slovak Republic and the Slovak Academy of Sciences, project number:  2/2040/22.

5. New methods and devices for pulmonary, hepatal and gastro-intestinal noninvasive diagnostics, (2002-2005). Supported by Science and Technology Assistace Agency (APVT), Slovak Republic.

6. Specific Imaging Methods Based on Magnetic Resonance, (2005-2007). Scientific Grant Agency of the Ministry of Education of Slovak Republic and the Slovak Academy of Sciences, project number:  2/5043/26.

Research activities

Pressure and flow measurement of liquids, extracorporal circulation and oxymetry, artificial blood pumps working synchronized with the biological heart, diaphragm movements measurement, measurement of mechanical attractive force of permanent magnets, measurement of dynamic sources of electrostatic fields, electrotenzometry of liquids and photoelectric pressure meters. 

Next projects were oriented to the instrumentation for experimental cardiosurgery: assisted circulation  - intra-aortal balloon counterpulsation, measurement of the blood pressure, Achilles tendon reflex measurement, microcomputer controlled pulse generator for NMR experiments, magnetic field measuring instrument, nuclear magnetic resonance - proton density distribution and imaging.

Teaching Activities  

Starting from 1980 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Slovak Technical University, Bratislava (external teaching).

From 1995 - professor of “Measurement Science” at the Slovak University of Technology, Bratislava,       

Now:  active teaching at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, courses: Medical Imaging techniques.

Permanent member of commissions for final state examinations at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Slovak Technical University

1971 - Gold medal of the INTERLAB' 71,  International exposition, for  “Instrumentation for Extracorporal  Circulation”,  (member of a research group).

1975 - Award of the 1^st grade for “Instrumentation for Assisted Circulation” awarded by Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, (member of a research group)

1976 - Certificate of merit INVEX'  76, International exposition, for “Electrostatic     Voltmeter”.

1980 - Award of the 1^st grade for instrumentation: “Reflexometer M8081”,  awarded by Czechoslovak, Academy of Sciences, (member of a research  group).

1981 - Certificate of merit RACIO, International exposition, for “Ultrasound detector  UZD-80”.

1982 - Certificate of merit for instrumentation: “Pulse Generator G-8082”.

1984 - “Merited researcher of the Slovak Academy of Sciences", awarded by Czechoslovak  Academy of Sciences.

1986 - Certificate of merit Prague DNT 86 Exposition for “Experimental equipment for tomography based on magnetic resonance TMR-86”.

1987 -  "Award of the Slovak Academy of Sciences" for research in “Tomographic Measuring methods based on Nuclear magnetic Resonance”.

1989 - "Award of Aurel Stodola for the merits in technical sciences" with silver medal.

1999 - "Award of Aurel Stodola for the merits in technical sciences" with gold medal.
